The biggest Pakistan Fashion Design Council has organized their bridal week with collaboration of L’Oreal Paris, the world’s leading cosmetics brand. PFDC and L’Oreal Paris has organized their fahsion show recently. It was a three days runway go show held on 30th September 2014 to 2nd October 2014.
PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week 2014 (#PLBW2014) was a platform that endeavors to define and represent the traditional and cultural Pakistani fashion dresses, makeup hair trends and jewellery. This event has presented all the contemporary fashion look for year 2014-2015 for brides.
PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week 2014 Day 1 Pictures
The first day of PFC L’Oreal Bridal Week was held on 30th September 2014 and opened with a great collection by couturier HSY then followed by Sania Maskatiya. Day 1 also showcases the bridal collection of Asifa & Nabeel, Saira Shakira and Karma Red. The makeover was one for women by Maaram & Aabroo and Khawar Riaz has done makeup for men on day 1.
1. Hassan Shehryar Yasin (HSY):
The day 1 was opened with ionic and traditional bridal collection by HSY. HSY has showcased his stunning bridal couture collection titled by “Divine Decadence”. HSY has presented a cultural collection for brides and groom both on PLBW day 1. He has followed the theme of embroidered outfit for both genders. He has added long maxis for women mostly and for men, he added two piece suit. All the glitters and shimmers are sparkling in his collection having two sources of inspirations such as conflicts and challenges.
2. Sania Maskatiya:
After the great collection by HSY, Sania Maskatiya has followed with her beautiful and exclusive bridal wear collection titled with “Ara-Ornaments”. Sania Maskatiya has drawn inspiration from the art of ornamentation and features decorative motifs and techniques. Sania Maskatiya has come up with intricate floral patterns and geometric cuts. She has adorned her beautiful dresses with modernity by emerging celebration with sophistication and whimsy with elegance.
3. Asifa & Nabeel:
Asifa & Nabeel has followed Sania Maskatiya on Day 1 with their outstanding collection titled with “Meena Maniratna”. This collection has inspired by the reel and real life of Meena Kumari. All the shades, motifs, cuts and jewellery have used by inspired with Meena Kumari’s films. Asifa & Nabeel has used beautiful and dynamic colors for their bridal collection such as tangerine, gold and harbor grey. All the dresses have designed in traditional look crafted with modernity and embellishment of thread work, dabka, pearls, stones and chandi pati on chiffon, silk and jamawar fabrics.
4. Saira Shakira:
Saira Shakira has showcased her beautiful bridal wear collection on day 1 with titled of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Saira Shakira has designed all the dresses inspired by Shakespeare’s famous work as she believes that no one can portrayed love in all its glory and dimensions better than him. Saira Shakira has designed her beautiful bridal dresses on delicate and sheer fabrics such as nets and laces. Se has added cuts and hues to design lehangas, kaftans ad sari with embellishments of thread work, dabka, nakshi and beading along with Swarvoski crystals. She has used awesome shades for her bridal collection such as midnight blue, pink, mints, plums purples and lilac.
5. Karma Red:
Karma Red has showcased their “The Lotus Raj Collection” on the finale of day 1. This collection has inspired by the subcontinental essence and identity comprising of the monsoon. She has diverse floral range of nargis, rose, frangipani and motiya. Their collection represented the grand majestic fauna, the classic tea trolly, the romantic cities, old family homes’ courtyard and the memories of generations past. Their collection has consisted of five capsule collection such as Raj Kumari that includes dresses in glamorous, flirty and fabulous looks. Uns that inspired by the magic an detail of floral, first love and the vanilla sky of monsoons. Aatish that is inspired by Thakuranis warrior queens. Saj Dhaj inspired with the traditions, colors and adornments of subcontinent and at last Raj which embodied passion, obsession and pure beauty. Karma Red also presented the collection for kids who were walking with models.
