PSL 3: War For Playoff Between Multan, Karachi and Peshawar

Today is a relaxing day in the third edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), but the next match of the tournament will be played in the Sharjah Cricket Ground on March 13 between Islamabad United and Multan Sultans.

There is a very interesting situation at the PSL’s points table, where the battle continues to qualify in the play-off between Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi, and Multan Sultans because one of them will get out of the event.

Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United are currently ranked first and second with 10, 10 points respectively while both teams have 2 and 3 more matches in the event.

Both teams will play their match against each other, which is clear that one of the two teams will qualify for the next phase by taking 12 points, however, the defeated team still have a chance to reach the next phase of the event.

Meanwhile, Multan Sultans will face the challenge of Islamabad United to reach the next phase of the event, where the only victory can take them at the playoff stage.

If Peshawar Zalmi loses then Multan Sultans has to wait for one loss more in the event, However, there two more matches are left. But, if they win both matches then Multan Sultans has to wait for Karachi Kings to loss their rest of matches.

There are 9, 9 points of Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings on the points table, but Karachi Kings are ranked third and Multan Sultan is fourth due to their run rate.

There are only six points of Peshawar Zalmi and there are two remaining matches, and with the victory in both matches, Peshawar Zalmi will be in the playoff stage.

Lahore Qalandars has played 8 matches in the event where they won in 2, while 6 matches had to face defeat, with which they became the first team who out from the playoff.
