Match 26: Lahore Qalandars Defeated Quetta Gladiators

In the 26th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Lahore Qalandars won the third success in the tournament by defeating Quetta Gladiators by 17 runs due to the best batting of Fakhar Zaman.

In the match played in Dubai, Quetta’s Gladiators captain Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss and invited Lahore Qalandars to bat first.

Fakhar Zaman and Anton Devcich started the batting by Lahore Qalandars, but Rahat Ali took wickets of Devcich on the 43 runs and harmed Lahore Qalandars’ team.

Agha Salman was the other batsman who was out after only one run.

Captain McCullum scored 73 runs with Fakhar Zaman but Hassan Khan took the third wicket of Lahore Qalandars.

Fakhar Zaman continued to play a stunning batting but could not finish his century, but he gave a position to the team to set a good combination of runs.

Fakhar Zaman made 94 runs. His inning including 6 sixes and 9 fours.

After which Gulraiz Sadaf and Sunil Narine set a good contribution and played a vital role in setting the team in a set of 186 runs for 4 wickets in the fixed overs.

Gulraiz Sadaf scored 42 and Sunil Narine made 20 runs but not out.

Rehmat Ali proved to be the most expensive bowler by Quetta Gladiators who gave 51 runs in 4 overs and took only one wicket.

In the pursuit of a tough target, Quetta Gladiators were also aggressive, where Shane Watson and Jason Roy made 52 runs in 5 overs, but Shaheen Afridi made the first loss by taking the wicket of Shane Watson.

Jason Roy made 36 runs and returned to the pavilion on the ball of Sunil Narine, while Kevin Pietersen failed to perform well and bold out on the ball of Narine.

Yasir Shah sent Junior Rameez Raja to the pavilion on 7 runs and Anwar Ali on 4 runs with a score of 92.

Mitchell McClenaghan managed Rilee Rossouw’s aggressive batting on a score of 120 runs who made 42 runs with 5 sixes.

Captain Sarfraz Ahmed came out after the loss of 6 wickets and made the match interesting while performing a responsible batting but failed to give his team the first position on the points table.

Quetta Gladiators scored 169 runs on 6 wickets in the over and lost the match with 17 runs.

Sarfraz Ahmed 28 and Mohammad Nawaz remained not out on 19 runs.

Sunil Narine and Yasir Shah took 2, 2 wickets respectively by Lahore Qalandars.

Earlier, Lahore Qalandars did not select Umar Akmal again in the team while Quetta Gladiators kept Jason Roy and Hamza Mir in the team.
