Match 22: Karachi Kings’ Fourth Victory, Multan Sultans Lost Match by 63 Runs

In the 22nd match of the Pakistan Super League, due to the Daniel Dell’s excellent batting and Shahid Afridi’s impressive bowling, Karachi Kings won the fourth victory with the 63-runs defeat against Multan Sultans.

Multan Sultan captain Shoaib Malik won the toss and invited to bat for Karachi Kings. The decision proved to be wrong when Lendl Simmons returned to the pavilion after making only three runs.

After this, Babar Azam came with Denly, and both the players displayed the responsible batting while establishing the biggest contribution of the event, adding 118 runs for the second wicket and set up the foundation of a large number.

Especially Denly picked up aggressive style and played 78 runs with 55 balls with two sixes and 10 fours.

Babar Azam also played very well and made his half-century off 58 runs on 39 balls and became a wicket of Hardus Viljoen.

At the end of overs, Colin Ingram played an unbeaten batting while playing with four fours in an innings of 29 balls. After which, Karachi Kings made the highest score on the scoreboard for the season.

Karachi Kings scored 188 runs at the loss of three wickets in the fixed overs.

In reply, Multan Sultans opener Ahmed Shehzad and Kumar Sangakkara did a good start of 41 runs, but after the Sangakkara’s innings, the Sultans started to down wickets one by one.

Sohaib Maqsood was not able to perform his perfection at this time and became the Usman Shinwari’s wicket, while Ahmad Shahzad made 24 runs, after trying to play Imad Waseem’s ball out of the crease.

However, the hopes of the Sultans’ real blow took place when Shahid Afridi broke out the bowling line of the rivalry team by defeating Kieron Pollard, Saif Badar and captain Shoaib Malik in his three overs.

On one occasion, Multan Sultans’ century was not being seen but Sohail Tanvir saved some of his biggest losers in the event by playing a few big shots in the end over.

Multan Sultans’ entire team got 125 runs in the last over and he had to face the loss with 63 runs in the match.

Multan Sultans’ Ahmed Shahzad 24, Kumar Sangakkara 18 and Sohail Tanvir were 34 for the most successful batsman.

Shahid Afridi made three wickets and Mohammad Irfan got two wickets from Karachi Kings.

Shahid Afridi was declared the best player of the match on the best bowling.
