Kuala Lumpur: Afghanistan won the Champions Trophy by defeating 185 runs after the one-day international in the Under-19 Asia Cup final due to Akram Faisal and Majeed’s excellent performance.

In the ACC Under 19 Asia Cup final played in Kuala Lumpur, Pakistan captain Hassan Khan won the toss and decided to field first, which proved to be the wrong decision.

In the first innings, Afghanistan’s Under-19 team made 248 runs for seven wickets in the 50 overs, wicketkeeper Batsman Akram Faisal performed a stunning batting and played an innings of 107 runs with 10 fours and two sixes. Apart from this, Rahim Gul 40 and Ibrahim Zadran scored 36 runs. Mohammad Musa got three and Shahin Shah Afridi two wickets.

Pakistan Under-19 team was worst in pursuit of the target and the entire team got 63 runs out in 22.1 overs. Mohammad Taha 19 and Hassan Khan remained 10 with 10 runs, while none of them could cross the second innings. Mujeeb Zadran got 5 wickets and gave 13 runs, while Qes Ahmed also got three wickets. With the victory in the match, Afghanistan won the title for the Under-19 Asia Cup championship for the first time.
